The Rossa HC-P Hand Espresso is the ultimate choice for those seeking perfection in their coffee experience. If perfection is what you seek, the Rossa HC-P provides unparalleled feel and control that takes the art of espresso to a whole new level.
The Rossa HC-P combines the Rossa HC and the Pressure Adapter into a single compact design that provides the user with the ability to monitor and control extraction pressure throughout the shot for optimum precision and repeatability.
The Rossa HC-P uses the same updated features of the HC to include a low friction design to enhance pressure control and improve usability. Furthermore, the Rossa Hand Espresso models provide the user with exceptional pressure control over the profile range, and in particular, the unique design provides exceptionally high precision during the very important low pressure phase of the profile. The HC-P is a very nice design, and is well suited to those wanting to push the limits of what is possible in coffee through pressure profiling.
Experiencing the full potential of the Rossa HC-P requires a basic understanding of the principles of espresso, and some practice is required to develop and refine your operating technique. All the Rossa models operate within the same principles that apply to all quality espresso machines. That is, temperature, pressure and flow must be controlled to produce the perfect shot. The Rossa HC-P provides the user with absolute control over these three variables, and its unique design also enables precise control over a number of additional variables.
While the Rossa HC-P was designed with a focus on espresso perfection, it is still a compact machine that is an excellent portable travel option. The pressure gauge is specifically designed for the Rossa. It is a sealed gauge, but does not contain any liquid, so is safe for air travel. For those who cannot settle for anything less than the ultimate espresso, the Rossa HC-P will ensure your morning coffee remains consistent no matter where you are in the world.
With Standard Filter Head
The Rossa HC-P Hand Espresso has had a significant update with a focus on improved portability and usability, as well as making it significantly easier to self-service.
Improved Portability
The handle retaining screw assembly has been replaced with a new thumb-screw. This allows the handle to be removed quickly and easily by hand for improved portability. The unit has a smaller footprint with the handle assembly removed making it easier to pack for travel.
Improved Usability
The internal components have been significantly redesigned to minimise the time needed to make an espresso and then clean and pack up when finished. Remove the filter head and dose with ground coffee, then simply unwind the spindle, preheat the unit, fit the head and extract the shot. Clean up is just a quick rinse then towel dry ready for pack up.
Improved Self-Servicing
Previous models required special tools and a certain degree of mechanical skill to disassemble and service. While the fundamental operational design remains mostly unchanged, the internal components have been significantly redesigned to enable complete disassembly and servicing with basic tools, and with minimal effort or skill required.
The complete spindle assembly can be removed with just a Phillips head screw driver at any time for maintenance, cleaning or inspection. Just remove the handle and the 3 x retaining screws and slide the complete spindle assembly out from the bottom.
Replacing the piston seal can now be done with 2 x adjustable wrenches to split the piston via the 32mm AF hex machined into each piston half. The spindle retaining screw now has a 10mm AF hex to aid in ease of removal to access the thrust bearing assembly, and the thrust assembly now has a return washer to reduce the possibility of wear as the spindle is withdrawn, which also provides smoother operation.
For those who like to keep things in perfect condition, the components can easily be removed as often as you like for inspection, cleaning and lubrication.
The redesigned Rossa Hand Espresso models have taken an already proven design to a new level. All seals and other serviceable items can be bought and kept with your Rossa for self-servicing for decades to come. The Rossa truly is an heirloom product. It is designed and built to outlast the owner, and there is no reason why it can’t be passed on to the next generation of coffee lovers and beyond.
Compatible with Previous Models
The redesign did not overlook the possibility for compatibility of early Rossa HC and HC-P models. All previous models can be updated to the new design so everyone can take advantage of the new features.
